The Thieving Birds Perform "In The Summer" on The Texas Music Scene





There is a pretty good buzz coming out of North Texas about the band the Thieving Birds. The soulful melodies and great guitar riffs pay tribute to their heroes like the Rolling Stones. Here they are on the Crown Royal Texas Stage with a little bit of a backstory and their tune "In The Summer."

Jason Boland & The Stragglers Perform "Electric Bill" on The Texas Music...





The Shooter Jennings produced release from Jason Boland & The Stragglers, "Dark & Dirty Mile" is a definite highlight of 2013 in this scene. Good, straight ahead country music played by a super tight band provided the perfect backdrop for Jason's songwriting. The Red Dirt Rangers in a Backstage Conversation with The Texas Music Scene





The Red Dirt Rangers are now the keepers of Bob Childers' legacy within the proud Oklahoma/Red Dirt Music Scene. After 25 years together, this band has quite a legacy themselves, and they are still doing it their way,as evident in their 2013 release "Lone Chimney." John Dickson Discusses MusicFest 2014 on The Texas Music Scene





Each year, Texas Music fans migrate to Steamboat Springs, CO for one of the biggest and best music festivals around. The festival recently won the Lonestar Music Award for Festival of the Year, and we were lucky enough to have a few minutes with the creator, John Dickson, to discuss the most recent event.
