I have never made any secret about my love affair with Lowe's. Today, they made it official...Lowe's is my favorite store on the planet.
As some of you know, I am currently in the process of getting my new studio up and running. It has been a long process, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.
This weekend while doing my regular "Lowe's weekend walkthru," I bought some cabinets to put together my kitchen at the studio. I happened to run across a fridge that was on sale for $200. Regular $598. Sweet... So I ask about it and come to find out, someone had bought it, and brought it back saying it did not work. It had been repaired. The only flaw was that the prson who bought it had scratched the door up in one spot. It is a black fridge, and goes perfect with my interior, so I decided the scratch was not that big of a deal and bought it.
Lowe's delivered it yesterday, and much to my dismay, when I plugged it in I got nothing. No power. Sad times...sad times. So I called Lowe's and asked them to come get it. They said that they had sent it to the repair facility and that it came back to them with a note that nothing was wrong.
Clearly, that was not true. So they said they'd come get it, and that they would credit me the amount back. However, since it was a closeout "off the shelf" item, there wasn't much they could do other than give me my money back. Ok...fine.
Then I get a call this morning that they are coming to pick it up, and that they decided to make it right. So they brought me a brand new version of the same fridge to replace mine. No charge.
Yeah for me! And Yeah for all my tasty cold Bud Lights who now have a home!
