If your are so inclined to receive positivity, please go follow my friends at @be_equipped_ministries #Repost @be_equipped_ministries with @get_repost ・・・ Is it just me or does it feel like everyone is in a season of waiting? Seems like many of the people I talk to are waiting for something. A house, a baby, a job, emotional healing, a child to come home, a marriage to be reconciled. My first thought was to look at Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. That is a fairly familiar scripture, but what do we do while we are in the waiting. Waiting is hard. Researching this passage, I realized that wait can be interchanged with hope and actually means to “hopefully wait". That surprised me because those two words seem like totally different things. Then I realized that hopefully waiting is active. Passive waiting is hard, but if we are truly waiting “hopefully” then we must do something. We are supposed to sit in a posture of Hope…an expectation that God has not forgotten us, that God will do what he said he would do, that He is faithful. Those who hope in the Lord will not be disappointed. Isaiah 49:23 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 3:5 If you find yourself in a season of waiting, spend a few minutes praising God and reminding yourself how big He is and how much He loves you. Then ask God to show you how to wait hopefully. Ask him for insight into the waiting…he wants to talk to you and help you find peace in the waiting. He wants you to wait WITH Him.
